The Edge Festival is postponed until 2022
Dear friends and supporters of the Solva Edge Festival
After seeking advice from a number of people and organisations, particularly from Events Wales, it remained unclear whether large (over 50 people) live events would be able to take place this summer. Even if they were allowed, we were advised that there was a strong possibility that restrictions, with some form of social distancing, are likely to be required. This extra layer of provision would add significantly to our costs and would from your enjoyment of the Festival. Managing a Covid-secure festival would include extra security, fencing, bar restrictions and more.
The whole group of volunteers who run the Edge Festival have unanimously agreed that in terms of both public health and our stretched finances, it would be very risky to proceed with the Edge Festival this year and so once again, we have decided to push back The Edge until Summer 2022.
The good news is that we have been supported wholeheartedly in this decision by the musicians and providers of our stage, PA, security and first aid. They have, yet again, generously agreed to let us roll over deposits, enabling us to plan ahead. We are very committed to running The Edge Festival in 2022 and can’t wait to welcome you.
We can of course offer you a refund on the tickets that you booked. These were priced at £40 for the weekend. It is likely that we will have to raise the ticket price for 2022 as we have additional costs due to the loss of two festivals, so if you would like to save your tickets for 2022 these will remain at the price that you have already paid.
If you wish to request a refund you must do this via Eventbrite as we do not hold your payment details. For more information on refunds please look here.
Thank you for your support of the Edge festival and we look forward to seeing you here in Solva for a mega Edge Festival 29th to 31st July 2022
