The Pavilion are a Bristol based indie-rock quartet consisting of Rhys Smedley, Finn Brake, Tom Phillips, and Ben Mitchell.

Forming whilst at university in Bristol, after connecting through the networking app, Vampr, they’re already taking the city by storm. May 2023 saw their debut headline gig at The Louisiana, before plenty more shows across the city, including Rough Trade, HMV, The Blue Lagoon and The Thunderbolt.

Their debut EP, featuring debut single, City Lights, as well as recent single, reflecting on a relationship and being happy to let go and move on, Window Watching was released in early 2024.

The title, Hydref, was selected, alluding to half the band calling Wales home, its translation being autumn.

“A short culmination of songs written in autumn 2023; Hydref contains a mixture of indie and modern rock, expressing the feelings of moving on and accepting the present as the better self.”
