The Early Bird ticket deal is over but it resulted in 200 ticket sales which puts the festival on a good footing for going forward. Early funding is vital for us as we need money to pay for a host of things before the festival gets underway. These range from deposit payments to the musicians, the stage, the hotel accommodation and, very importantly, provisioning our Greenscar bar. Last year our finances limited the amount of ale, cider, wine, soft drinks we could buy as all our suppliers require payment up front. This resulted in us having to reprovision the bar as the weekend progressed, resulting in higher wholesale prices and less profit, and therefore less money going back into the community. This year we are having our very own gin palace, well at least, a section of the bar, selling Edge Gin with super flavours and mixers. This year we have new tents which will enhance the carnival experience, we have new musicians, writers, dancers. The Edge Festival is always different, we aim to make it an interesting fun-filled weekend which is truly intergenerational.
Ticket prices have gone up to £40 but that is still the cheapest festival deal in the UK. The entry price will go up again in August so BOOK NOW!
