Nathan Munday, Writer

Nathan Munday is a Welsh writer from Carmarthenshire. Recently, he was the guardian of Tŷ Mawr Wybrnant in the heart of Snowdonia, the birthplace of Bible translator William Morgan.

His work spans many genres. In 2016, he came second in the New Welsh Writing Awards with his creative non-fiction book Seven Days: A Pyrenean Adventure published by Parthian in 2017. His debut novel, Whaling – a mélange of original fiction, historical writing and whaling images – is published by Seren. Whaling is available to pre-order here

When he’s not writing, Nathan is training for Christian ministry, exploring the high places with his wife Jenna, or playing with his new-born son Seth Johannes. He hopes that Seth will join them on the slopes soon.

Mared Emlyn, Harpist & Composer

A graduate of Bangor University, Mared completed a doctorate in performance on the harp and composition in 2014 with a scholarship funded by the European Union.

In 2011, she won the Urdd National Eisteddfod’s Chief Composition medal for her work Perlau yn y Glaw for solo harp, which is now performed regularly at different harp competitions and festivals.

Mared performs in concerts as a soloist, as part of ensembles and as a member of orchestras. She has received a number of composition commissions, performed by well renowned musicians and ensembles such as the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.

Recently, Mared was commissioned by Opra Cymru to write an opera for children and families: Cyfrinach y Brenin, which toured Wales in September 2022.

Mab Jones, Poet, Writer & Radio Presenter

Mab Jones is “a unique talent” (The Times) and winner of the Wolverhampton Literature Competition, the Aurora Poetry Prize, the Geoff Stevens Prize, a Royal Society of Literature Award, the Neil Gaiman / Word Factory Short Story Competition, and more.

She’s presented on Radio 4, written for the NY Times, and is Resident Writer in Cardiff Wetlands.
