Adventures at the Edge with TYF

TYF will be operating from the Sand Quay in Solva Harbour all day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
From Lower Solva Carpark, walk down the right hand side of the harbour towards the Cafe, look out for the TYF Gazebo.

Rockpool Safari
Friday 28, Saturday 29 & Sunday 30 July
09:00 – 11:00

A fully guided taster session that encourages natural curiosity supporting exploration along our seashore. The Rockpool Safari is for all ages and allows you to get up close and personal with the marine life living in the tough intertidal zone and leave with the knowledge and experience to explore the beaches and coves of Pembrokeshire independently and responsibly.

1 hour sessions from 09:00 – 11:00 @ £15 per person.


SUP Taster Sessions & Hire
Friday 28, Saturday 29 & Sunday 30 July
14:30 – 16:30

Come and try out Stand Up Paddleboarding at our taster sessions. We’ll introduce you to techniques for safe, low effort and enjoyable stand up paddleboarding or give it a go yourself with hourly hire available.

1 hour taster sessions from 14:30 – 16:30 @ £25, and hourly rental @ £15.


Pembrokeshire Coast National Park @ Edge Festival

All PCNPA activities (except the Junior Ranger Weekend Challenge) will begin and end at Parc y Capel village green, in Upper Solva.

Junior Ranger Bootcamp
Saturday 20 July, 10:00 – 12:00

Join Ranger Meg Pratt to test your skills and see if you have what it takes to be a Ranger for the National Park. Drop in sessions between 10 – midday.

On the day challenges – map skills; nature ID; planning for an emergency; litter breakdown. Certificate for all those that complete the challenge.

Junior Ranger Bootcamp – Weekend Challenge

Take the weekend challenge and complete the following tasks and take photographs to keep a record. Email meganp@pembrokeshirecoast.org.uk to receive a certificate.

Do a 5 minute litter pick; Spot 3 of the following plants (valarian, gorse, sea thrift, red campion, birds foot trefoil, vetch, sea campion) Identify with seek/iNaturalist; Spot 3 different animals (insect, bird, mammal etc); Find the wooden bridge (Lower Solva) over the river and explore the woods.


Nature Walk at the Edge
Saturday 29 July. 14:00 – 16:00

A walk and talk with National Park Ranger Meg Pratt, exploring the local flora and fauna, wildlife and history. A 3 mile circular walk from Upper Solva to Nine Wells. A maximum of 20 people can join so advance booking is essential.

Smugglers & Pirates
Sunday 30 July, 10:30 – 12:30

A 2 hour walk with Gordon Lewis, long time National Park volunteer. A maximum of 20 people can join so advance booking is essential.

We have so many fantastic flavours and varieties to choose from, sumptuous, salted caramel, oozy double choc and the Chock overload which is a chocolate lovers kryptonite!… We have three different gluten free options as well as two vegan brownies!
